I agree. :(

I have often mused on how overlooked the Bob Welch era has always been... particularly here in the UK.

May this be the Welch era's time. Let albums like Bare Trees and Mystery To Me be remastered. Let magazines like Mojo and Classic Rock run feature length articles on this period instead of the mere box-outs of old. Let them celebrate the music rather than the sackings and extra-marital affairs.

Bob... we salute you.

He was trending on Yahoo all day.

Forgive me if this has been posted. I hadn't seen it yet. In the other thread we are speculating about who might attend the funeral. Well, this article says that he forgave Mick but always remained friendly with Buckingham and especially Nicks.

because it's breaking...

"i know that's right... mmm... mmm.. seems like a dream.. got me hypnotized.."

Rest in peace Bob Welch. Your music stays deep inside our hearts.. Thank you.

I'm not shocked. The media always had no respect for VIP people when they are alive. When they are gone then they will endlessly talk about them,Play their music, play their movies.

Access Hollywood did a short tribute segment.

Very, very sad news. My thoughts are with his family and close friends.

RIP Bob.

My deepest sympathies to Bob's family. Mr. Welch, you will be sorely missed. Thanks for all the great music you gave us. Gone, but NEVER forgotten.

But I saw Lindsey in concert tonight and he didn't mention the death. I know he doesn't have to do this, but it would have been a nice, thoughtful gesture.

This is just way beyond sad. I literally was thinking about how I truly expected some sort of reunion with Bob and the band in the near future or at the the very least a Bob/Stevie concert or tour. No exageration, the thought popped into my head on the 6th. He died the next day. This is easily the saddest I've been from someone in music's death. And i mean zero disrespect to the other 2 members of Fleetwood Mac who have died but this is clearly the first major blow to the Fleetwood Mac fan community.

I don't want them to attemp that whole fantasy multi era Fleetwood Mac concert now. It wouldn't make sense without Bob Welch.

Love this one with Stevie doing back up vocals!
