Well they based the whole last year of touring for the casual fan who they assumed haven't gotten sick of hearing the same songs and setlist that they have performed for the last 40 years, so...
(of course there was the millions of dollars that was at stake too.)

For heaven's sake. And even if this question is just being asked for the casual fan, doesn't the casual fan KNOW ALREADY too? The stories have been told non stop for almost 40 years. Even those people who think that Fleetwood Mac was a specialty McDonald's hamburger still know about the divorces, the drugs, the compartmentalization.

There is NO ONE who does not know.

Can you ever get to a point where audience knowledge is assumed. When Paul McCartney goes on a talk show do they say, "So, um, what do you do for a living?"

yeah the whole interview was kinda like their setlist. ;)

i did think it was interesting how he sidestepped the pot question, and also how he answered the temper question.

So smooth, Linds.

Judging from the comments I think I'll pass on this interview. Did Dan R at least ask about a new FM album? Not that LB would give any sort of direct answer but there's always the off chance...

I wish he'd do something different with his hair. It makes him look strange. And they played more of Stevie's FWM songs than his. Poor guy so under rated.

Maybe I just haven't seen enough Lindsay-only interviews, but I thought he was very forthcoming in his explanation of Second Hand News.

I like how he explained himself as "esoteric". Yeah, I guess you could say that. Interestingly, you can also say the same for Stevie. They indeed live in a parallel universe sometimes.

for those of us who don't get AXS and haven't found the whole interview online yet, can you tell us what Dan asked about temper and how he answered? :)

He basically said that he "used to" have a temper.

Yes, it's not unlike him talking about the DJ criticizing the initial version of GYOW on the radio and Lindsey saying he was going to head right over to the radio station, because he said he was much 'feistier' (fightier) back then than he is now.

he kinda sidestepped that one mostly, just said that he used to have a temper, that it's in the past. that there was lot of frustration for not being able to have closure with stevie yet having to work with her, coming from pent up anger that he had to keep it bottled up and put on his best face with songs / at work, so temper manifested itself in his personal life. that temper is something that comes out when you try to keep stuff bottled up at one side, it's something that manifests itself in a destructive way instead.

his assertion may have been that not only is he now happy and settled, but also that unlike in the past, he has learned how to channel any frustration he may have into something constructive.

His hair reminded me of the Heat Miser from The Year w/o a Santa Claus.

so it's all Stevie's fault?? Only half-serious.

sounds like a very oblique way of acknowledging that clearly there's a lot of truth to some of what carol had to say in her book. or do you disagree?
