I know in an earlier post I mentioned these 2 songs, but really for me, Vincent and Castles In The Air by Don McLean are 2 of the greatest pieces of rock and roll poetry that I have ever heard. I am not a fan of American Pie at all, but the other 2 I can literally listen to 1000 times in a row and NEVER get tired of hearing Don's singing!

The total amount of crazy happening in that video has always charmed me to no end. Song is great, too. I love Tori Amos' cover of it - have you heard it? She has such an amazing way with cover songs: |
Ok I know I'm going to sound like a complete fossil when I admit this, but I also love some 50's ans 60's stuff too. my favorite song from that era that I remember my mother playing for me when I was a a 4 year old was:
Denise: Randy & The Rainbows |
