And Tony, we finally disagree on something. Thank God!

We agree where it counts! All hail Christine!

Though, as I recall, I LOVE Temporary One and you don’t. Another argument for another time :)

... and this is why I must go.

No freedom in the mouth... so I don't like it.

“Your jam it tastes the sweetest to me”—yes folks: a 73 year old woman wrote and sang those lines.

I'll say it again....

I've always wondered if she and Lindsey "did it".

While I'm at it, John and $tevie, too.

After Lindsey, she was like a blind woman that now can see!

Thank you so much for posting this rare gem from The Majestic Theater in San Antonio! I was at this show and it was magical! The theater was only about half full, so it was an intimate performance. I especially appreciated Chris including songs from the Bare Trees and Mystery to Me albums.

Also - is that the Fleetwood Mac tour manager John Courage introducing Christine at the beginning of the show?

SteveMacD 05-31-2023 10:03 AM

Most likely JC introducing her. He was her manager.

Sounds abut right, but I don't remember.

The original link disappeared but it was uploaded again. A really great crowd here. She even tells the crowd at the end that they have been "really supportive." I love at the end during Songbird right before she says "most of all I wish it for myself" some guy yells out "I love you!"
We almost had a "I'll never forget you either" moment ;)

I love that these keep popping up. Hope there are more out there.

And Pittsburgh! She makes a mistake and says HELLO DETROIT
She profusely apologizes after Say You Love Me

I also would like Jackson NJ to be posted. I have the CD. A very touching Songbird dedicated to the multiple teenagers that burned to death in a funhouse at Great Adventure Amusement park there a week prior.
Chris is almost like a comedian at the show. She's playing "Great Adventure" but wants the name of the town so she can dedicate and speak directly to them. She asks the crowd what is the name of the town? They yell out Jackson. After Dont Stop she thinks maybe they think she has no idea where she is at. She says something like "for the record, I knew that Great Adventure was not the name of your town. I'm really smart."
Its hysterical to hear. I laugh out loud everytime I hear her say that "I'm really smart."

Me, you, and Jbrownjr were all 14 and saw different cities and we were all up close to the stage. The Jackson show was always on Ebay in the early 2000's. It seems professionally recorded but it is a bootleg. I did not know what she was talking about until I googled what happened. A light bulb burned out in a fun house. A teenager used a lighter and lifted it up to see. The insulation caught fire and so many were trapped and died. Horrible. Chris played the park a few days later. Yes she was cute and funny trying to convince everyone she knew Great Adventure was not the name of the town.
I will have to listen to the CD and see if I hear that guy screaming.
