I know I've been out of the loop for awhile. But I just read this on a KC Newspaper blog:

Mr. Slow Turning is coming to the venue behind Grinders on July 15, a Tuesday. Tickets are on sale now for $28, $38 (bleachers) and $76.50 (VIP).

Also coming to Crossroads KC: Live with Collective Soul on July 26, a Saturday. Tickets are $30, $40 and $76.50.

We've also heard: Lindsey Buckingham is on the way soon; so is Ray LaMontagne.

If he is, that would mean that he's going to drop the solo album after all and I don't think anything that good could possibly happen to us.

Exciting to think about, especially mixed in with the FM news of late.

I am a fan of Lindsey's on Facebook through iLike and got a notification that Lindsey posted a tour date "near me". It is in Glenside, Pennsylvania (aka not really near me) on October 18. That is the only date on iLike so far though.

ETA - This date is also listed on Ticketmaster, but tickets are not yet on sale.

EXCITING! Hopefully more are to follow!

I live in Philly and the Keswick is really close so I already have it in my phone calendar!

He did say in an interview a few months ago that the album would be out this fall, so I guess he is keeping his word!

I have the Waddy Wachtel Band as a friend on MySpace. I received an update of what the band members have been doing while WW is on tour with Stevie. This is what was posted about Brett Tuggle:

Brett Tuggle is finishing up recording a new cd with Lindsey Buckingham which will be released later this year, and Brett will be touring with Lindsey in conjunction with the release of the cd.

So, it looks like a new CD and tour (please play Rhode Island)

Ohhhh no...I don't think my wallet can handle this!!! LOL! Exciting though...REALLY hope it happens!!!

Ticketmaster has given and taken away concert listings before, so I'm not entirely hopeful ... does anybody by any chance remember how long before the UTS CD and tour we found out about said CD and tour? As far as I remember, we didn't have too much advance warning.

(And right now I can only afford a show that costs exactly two dollars Canadian, anyway. ;))

And oh man, I remember that...August 3...I was flat broke, had just got back from seeing Glenn Frey rather unexpectedly in Atlantic City, was in concert-related debt already, was just barely beginning to get hours at work again thanks to my knee having decided to give out on me earlier in the year... And bam! Lindsey tour. LOL...I can't remember if I screamed out of excitement or monetery fear/frustration! ;)

As expected, Lindsey Buckingham fall tour dates are rolling out to back up his yet to be announced, but anticipated early fall release of his next solo album. The reported rock album comes just two years after his previous release in the fall of 2006 "Under The Skin ".

Not to complain even before we know if there's going to be a tour -- but you've got to start some time! I wish these dates wouldn't trickle out willy nilly out of sequence. I'd like to see the first show and I need to know where that's going to be. I don't want to start planning for PA and then find he's going to open the show in Los Angeles, right in my backyard, especially since, in this economy, there is NO such thing as a cheap airline ticket.

They can announce the other dates as they go, but I'd like the FIRST show to roll out soon and to be somewhat concrete.

Nah, it was well known before then. June, at least.

This is the first clear sign that a new (solo) album is imminent. Obviously, Lindsey has no reason to go out on the road to play shows and lose hundreds of thousands of dollars in the process (like he did last time) purely due to vanity.

They're going to switch things around this time -- to see how it goes. Stevie is going to bunker down in the studio & start the Fleetwood Mac album while Lindsey continues touring & sending his demos to her from the road.

I look forward to seeing how this works. Stevie did a good job with Bombay Sapphires and I'd love to hear her production of Twist of Fate.

This is gunna be a pain if hes touring in the fall because Ill be in school. I wish it was this summer, but whatever. Im itching for some LB.

Didn't a fan ask him about the song recently and he couldn't even remember what that was? That kills me. But the talk about the new album has playing by Mick and John and I know they played on TOF. So hopefully!

Good think Lindsey tickets are somewhat cheap.

The story I heard was that he was asked about the song and was playing it up that he didn't know what they were talking about probably since it wasn't ever officially released. Apparently, it was obvious he was just messing around with the fan though.

Let's hope its true and it's on the album!!

Didn't LB say that he was willing to let another producer take the helm at the next FM album? And we all went nuts suggesting Jack White, Rick Rubin, et al.

If he passes thru Austin again, I'd rather see him at the Paramount or the new Long Center. I believe the Hogg Aud. is undergoing renovations now anyway.

If he passes through Austin, we have to have another pre-show and post-show celebration at the Hole in the Wall. :thumbsup: That was too much fun!!

I go away for a couple days and BAM! My dream may just be coming true. I was just complaining to some family members at our cookout yesterday that a possible Fleetwood Mac tour is in the mix, which does make me happy, but how disappointed I was that there would be no LB cd/tour.

How in the world am I going to afford this and not flunk out of law school.....

As long as it actually happens, I'm not that concerned.

Dont worry about Law school and Max out your credit card. Only for lindsey there would be no Law and Order.

...I can't wait for this new album. I too am hoping for Twist of Fate, but I would also LOVE for "Gift of Screws" to be included as well. I wonder if LB will throw the remaining songs from the original GOS album onto this "new" release. I would definitely not be opposed.

Well... should TOF be included on the new Lindsey solo cd or the new FM cd? THAT is the question. Were Mick and/or John on the TOF demo at all? I personally think it should be on the FM album cuz it's the greatest song since Go Your Own Way. I was listening to it today and was struck to finally realize its nod to Talking Heads' (staggering) "Life During Wartime." *tears* Love you Lindsey! :xoxo:

I too understood that perfectly, but it bothered me immensely in my hungover state. Ouch.

My fave part of Linds going on a tour with a potential new CD: he'll actually play tracks from the new album during the live show, giving those songs new life and a different vision.

Depending on when the tour dates are I might fly to the USA to go to see one or more of these concerts. I'm not really holding out any hope that he'll come to Europe :(
