Christine and Lindsey
Have they ever dated? I can just imagine LB and Chris doing a Rumour Esque cover for the lost album that Tusk replaced
It would be funny if they did - becuase my teacher asked me who dated who yesterday. She was amazed  |
I used to think they did. In fact, I still do.:angel:
I've seen the Mirage-DVD, y'a know... |
My vote is no.
|
Definately Not. Those five people told everything a million times over. I cant see how or why they would omitt that particular event.
Dont go down that road. |
This speculation has been floating around for years. I remember someone posted a long theory about it (on Burnish or BN, perhaps, I don't remember) about how Chris & Lindsey may have had an affair when he went to Switzerland to play on her solo album.
Personally, I don't think so. However, I loved when they collaborated musically. I loved their singing together - just as much as I do the LB/SN harmonies. |
What do you mean by "the lost album that Tusk replaced"? What lost album?

Probably not, but they would have been a better match for each other than Lindsey and Stevie.
|
I'm sure they did. Watch "tusk" from the US festival and "sara" from the Largo 79 DVD and watch them kiss on the lips!

I think they had some serious chemistry, but not sure if it was romantic. In those vids, though, they're kinda affectionate with each other in a sweet way that LB/SN weren't. And I think Lindsey preferred Christine musically to Stevie by far. Just from what I've read. |

However, that would be in spoken word. I won't say anything about hi songs...;) |

I think Lindsey & Chris had a brief fling -- more in the nature of a couple of wham-bam-thank-you-ma'ams -- back in the first few years. I don't think either of them was interested in the other sexually after that. It was very brief. Musically, they made love for a long time: It manifested itself in onstage jamming, writing songs together, studio vocal harmonizing, & copying riffs & styles. |

I mean, I think I'll recover (because you are certainly entitled to your opinion) but .... dang is right!!! Ugh...I just re-read your post and yeah, my head is still spinning... |

There's a look he gives to SOMEONE during Bleed to Love Her in the Dance. The camera cuts to Christine, but I wonder if that was just creative editting and he was really looking at Stevie or... maybe just smiling and happy to be there. |

So don't throw me out of the LB/SN bubble, but call me a little more of a pragmatist in that whole shipper area. ;) |

Well, I dig Christine's harmonies and I really like her songs. However, I find her voice to be a little too refined for SnL's sound. Overall, though, it worked so well because it was such an interesting contrast. I disagree that Lindsey preferred Christine musically to Stevie. I don't think he thinks of them in those terms. In other words, I don't think he's ever dismissed Stevie musically; rather I think Lindsey has a tendency to appreciate what everyone brings to the proverbial musical table - as long as he remains the Master Chef. Honestly, I could see where Chris may have been more likely to tell him his soufflé had fallen rather than send her compliments to the chef - which would probably send him storming out of the kitchen.... (What is up with the cooking analogies?? I must be hungry!) |

And that's basically why I felt he was probably more connected to Christine's style of songwriting. Actually, he probably said this in some interview because I don't think I could ascertain something so complex without at least reading something that kinda-sorta backed up what I said/meant. But I have nothing. And I haven't really been expressing what I mean so well this past day or so...lol! I think I need a little more sleep. |

What about - STEVIE & JOHN! then the circle would be complete (Not sure about Mick & Chris, but probs)
|
I don't think there is any way those two got together. For one thing, Christine eats twigs like Lindsey for dessert. Secondly, Lindsey has a definite type- petite, blonde, girly, etc. Don't get me wrong... Christine is quite , uh, er, um... very... um... handsome, yeah that's the word. :sorry: I know that Christine has tried, and she has done a lot with hair, makeup and clothes. But whenever I see her all made up and wearing a dress, I just see a dude playing dress-up. :sorry: She definitely has her own kind of, um, appeal... but definitely not the kind Lindsey would be into.

Just a synchonicity . . . Michele |
Ok... I'll tell a little something about myself.. no judging now...
I once got a little snockered and slept with my best friend... it was mutual and it happened 3 or 4 times after (all under the influence)... We've been friends now for 11 years and hell would freeze over before it would happen again.. We rarely talk about it... but we will laugh about it sometimes... My point... things do happen.. and the person doesn't necessarily have to be your "type".. sometimes having sexual feelings for someone whom isn't your type happens.. (You know what I mean?) Anyway... one would guess it would have ruined the friendship.. but we are as tight as ever.... Except of course if he doesn't call me on this wonderful saturday night like he said he would!!!! |

When/if LB smiles at Chris, that's always what I think he's doing - just giving a recognition of how good they're sounding. Usually with Stevie I think they have inside jokes going on... |
