Johnny Stew was written about John Stewart. John Stewart wrote a song on one of his albums called Liddy Buck about Lindsey Buckingham.

I plan to tackle "Go Insane" and "Out Of The Cradle" - a Lindsey perspective would be appreciated and welcomed!! :)

Someone on the panel asked what "Mary Lee Jones" was about, so I dug up the Law and Order press release to find the answer.
"There's no person named Mary Lee Jones, at least not as far as I know. My girlfriend Carol heard this one and said it reminded her of herself about a year ago, but it wasn't written with her in mind. It could be about any of us during certain times in our lives. Musically it's pretty straight ahead, though the guitar solo at the end is fairly unusual." http://www.fleetwoodmac-uk.com/artic...law&order.html |
there is a very good and knowledgeable podcast by one of the FM/LB fans who is also a musician titled "turn it on" with first episode going through Law and Order songs -

In 2018 Lindsey described this album as a very sarcastic album calling it almost a comedy album. I think some of his Tusk frustration made this his creative outlet.
Looking forward to the Go Insane introspect. It has great songs and has my favorite Lindsey song other than Go Your Own Way, Loving Cup. But it has too many drum machines and programmed parts for my liking. Out of the Cradle is perfect. |

Law And Order is my favorite Lindsey album. I love every note on it. It's freaky deeky in all the right ways!
