I'm 99% positive that my Mirage ticket was only $16(and they were good tickets, right down front). I don't remember how much Tusk was. If I have time this evening, I'll dig them out and check.

Couldn’t even get a pop for $5.50 on the last tour.

Haha, I don't hear 'pop' anymore. Made me feel at home. :woohoo:

I paid approximately $14.50 for a ticket to Stevie's Wild Heart Tour in 1983, and roughly $16 for the Mirage Tour a year earlier. These were good seats on the floor.

Nowadays, two tickets and drinks cost me a minimum of $500. The cost for two small mixed drinks at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas is around $36. Ridiculous! The price for these concert experiences in 2024 is grossly inflated!

$16 in 1982 adjusted for inflation in 2024 comes to around $52.

Instead, I am now paying $200 to $250 per ticket for decent seats.

It is ridiculous. IN THEIR DEFENSE, when people stopped buying cds(20 years ago), I asked the promoter I worked for, what was going to happen to their income. He said, "they're going to have to tour every year now"(rather than every few years, like it used to be).

If the Ledge will allow me to upload a pic, here's the poop.
Tusk 1979- Market Square Arena. I can't tell you. The ticket person ripped it in half, and gave me the non price end. Actually, May 16th, 1980. Christopher Cross opened. Crappy seats. Row AA, seat 1.
Mirage- $15. Market Square Arena. Row 5, front and center, with my best friend. Heaven. One of my all time favorite memories. Men At Work opened.
Goatsy- $13.50 Market Square Arena. July 27th, 1983.
Goatsy- $16.50. May 30,1986. Indy Sports/ Music Center. Some WEIRD tennis court place in Indy, with Joe Walsh. Only time I ever knew of a show being here.
The Dance-$75($90 with fees). I was appalled that tickets were now $90. Deer Creek Amphitheater(now Ruoff). (I forgot to include the date, and already put all that sh*t away).
Lindsey- $50. War Memorial Auditorium, Nashville. 11-08-2012.
Unleashed. $75.50. KFC Yum Center(Louisville). Not great seats.
On With The Show-$350. Bankers Life Fieldhouse(Indy) About 20 rows back. 10-21-2014.
BuckVie- $129.50. Ascend Amphitheater(Nashville). 4th row, although I made it to front. 6-23-2017.

I've seen more shows, but that's all the stubs I can find.
And yeah, the pic of all the stubs didn't upload. I figured it was too big, and it's hard to do it on my phone.

EDIT - FM never being involved in politics....this Tusk show was THE show that was a benefit for Sen. Birch Bayh, as mentioned in Mick's first book. It even says it on the stub.

Why can't you upload files or photos?

I don't know. I can only guess that it's too large? I've tried like 10 times. I click upload, and nothing happens.

Used to on here, it would at least tell me that the image was too large. Then I'd have to go into Photoshop and reduce it, and try again. "Upload" isn't doing anything....sigh.

Weird. I use the paper clip and just do screen shots.. It works better.

I do the paper clip, and attach file. It usually works.

Same here. Try a screen shot. That most likely will fit inside the parameters.

When really crappy seats in the upper tiers of footballs stadiums are 180.00 + fees, you're not even getting decent seats for 200-250.00!

Luckily, there are so few bands that I like that that play these large venues. I'm really grateful to be into bands that play smaller venues.

I wanted to go see the Chilli Peppers at a shed this summer - they wanted 100.00 + fees for lawn seats. No thanks.
