Is that what you want?

Hey I was wondering if someone could tell me about the version of Rhiannon that FM performed, where Stevie keeps singing " Is that what you want ". Where and when it was performed, and is it just an audio file, or is it on video? Either way, would someone please post it if they have it. Thank you very much.:D

Is that the same performance from Tusk tour Mick refers at his book?

Also in Dallas, Stevie took "Rhiannon" to its outermost limits, chanting "Is this what you want from me?" during the crashing finale of the song.

I'm not into the details of Mick's book, but the version posted was labeled Mobile 1980. I think in my perusing of the posts, it may have been mislabeled. Who knows.

Why? Did something extra significant happen in Dallas per Mick's ghostwriter's recollections?

Stevie used those words at all those August shows.

Do you know why?

Also, I think this is one of the best versions of Rhiannon, instrumentally. Everything is perfect.

Yes. Stevie Nicks was invoking the deity Dashwapsi, goddess of earthworm fertility, in a Gnostic ritual practiced by the ancient high priests of Shawaz in days of old.

The deity actually wanted a virgin sacrifice but Stevie wasn't exactly . . .
well, she had to improvise.

i think it has to be with her ultimate perfomance taking her voice at the limit. As Mick said about the Tusk tour..
When Stevie's voice cracked dangerously during "Rhiannon," she turned to Lindsey and hid her face behind the microphone. Eight months of touring was beginning to take its toll on all of us.

Wow, very nice!! The sound is great. Does anyone have the entire concert to post or a link to the whole show. Thanks.

How does one hide their face behind a microphone?
