Am I the only one who is completely obsessed with the version of Are You Mine that was released on the WH remaster? I honestly think it's one of the most beautiful things she's ever recorded. I'm still not tired of listening to it.

I didn't like any of the other versions of it like the one with Billy Burnette or the other but this one is just so stunning. It doesn't even sound country to me. It sounds like something you would hear driving late at night with the windows rolled down and a nice breeze coming in. Or like something a cafe singer would sing at night when the place is winding down. It's just so beautiful and I can't get enough of it and reminds me of why I love Stevie even when she's annoying me.

You are most definitely not the only one. The version on the deluxe Wild Heart is SUBLIME! I also think it's one of the most beautiful things she has ever recorded. In fact, I was just listening to this in my car tonight!

I love it too. The one I have been obsessed with is Dial the Number haha...I just love her delivery of the lines "it's sad...it's earthshattering."

I have always loved this song and was very excited to get this version on the deluxe release. I do love the version with Billy Burnette. Not a big fan of those background vocals from " her girls".

I would love to hear this on the WH album. Always felt it was a Bella Donna song.

I've been getting into this song again this week. The WH version is great but I do like the Billy Burnette versions from a few years later. I think you can hear the cocaine in her voice more. "Stay up with me through the night."

I'm glad you posted about this. I too am obsessed with this version of the song. Her voice is so warm and so original there. And the background vocals really enhance the arrangement. I love how simple yet intimate it is.
