"Blue Letter"... my 1st short film
Any "likes" or constructive comments would be appreciated. ;)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hL9chnl97NA In the least, I know you guys will like the song at the end. It works for the vibe of the film pretty well, eh? ;) Cheers, Brandon |
It's definitely interesting. I like it! What I like best is that you took a minimal approach, not a long drawn out story. Only one slight comment, you should have put the name of the song in the credits. That way, if someone watching it liked it, they'd know who it's by. Actually, I think I'll post it in the comments at YouTube.

Well, thank you! The movie original was 5 minutes. I had "Death" in the mirror during the bathroom breakdown scene... but I felt like it didn't work. After the credits are finished, I cut back to the bathroom and show Death pointing... as if "you're next" kind of thing. For some reason when I rendered it, that clip got cut off. I will have to RE-upload it.
Anyway... For reasons of telling a "good" quick story... we were required to cut it down to less than 3 minutes. So cutting 2 minutes of footage (and making the story work) was considerably difficult. I think it still works, but I am my own worst critic and will pick it apart until Kingdom Come. ;) |
That was cool. Are you doing it for a job/course/hobby?

i liked it brandon:wavey:~

I enjoyed your mini movie. I found one mistake though. When the guy came out of the shower and stood in front of the mirror, his hair was dry. It should have looked wet.:sorry:

brandon, this is your first production, right? I like it. It might have been cool to have some tear smudge Lily's name so ink spread blue on the letter...eh, whatevs. anyways, for future films, I would make a small suggestion to shorten the length of credits - one minute is a 1/3 of your video and that is wayyyyyy over for a short film.
