Could you imagine a duet with Stevie and John Mellencamp?
I always thought she'd sound so good with John Mellencamp. Two gravelly voices, plus their songwriting styles are so different, I can't help but think a duet between these two would electrify their fan base.

......No...

I always enjoyed John's tunes but it would be different if they sing together which I rather see her singing with artists her age then these young kids.
|
Agreed, Macfan. I think Stevie has been pretty cautious about who she collaborates with. I think Stevie's ethereal and fairy tale songwriting style would find a great balance with John's working man style... imagine "Jack and Rhiannon," for example lol! Ok, maybe not the best example, but still...

Mellenamp's latest cd is one of my very favorites of his. Really strong songwriting. But, his voice has gotten so bad that it really detracts from the songs on that CD. I'm not sure if he should be singing at all anymore, let alone with Stevie or anyone else. I still like him a lot, but either he hasn't taken care of his voice or time has just worn it out.

Maybe?? If it were a like his song "Key West Intermezzo (I Saw You First)" I could see it. I could not see them doing anything too uptempo together tho...
|
Don't even wanna think about that....

As Marcel Marceau said in "Silent Movie," "no."
|
hell yes.
and Mr Cougar was good back in the day so that day and opportunity has prob long past. Jack and Rhiannon ... I'd be happy for Stevie to cover some of his songs though like Cherry Bomb ... i'd prefer Stevie and LDR to collab first though. |
Who is LDR? And yeah, I also thought Stevie could do a great job on Cherry Bomb.

NO!! No interest to hear them together and quite frankly , he's been too busy with Meg the past few years and now Christie, so NO!!! He is a painter though and Stevie is an "artiste" so perhaps they can paint together!!
