"Precious Little" nominated

Hi everybody!

Jeremy Spencer's "Precious Little" is nominated at the BMA (Blues Music Awards) in the cathegory "Comeback Album of the Year".

The nominees are:
Andy Fairweather Low – “Sweet Soulful Music”
Chicago Bob Nelson – “Flyin' Too High”
Dion – “Bronx in Blue”
Jeremy Spencer – “Precious Little”
Jerry Lee Lewis – “Last Man Standing”

Wasn't this the price Peter Green Splinter Group won with "The Robert Johnson Songbook" in 1997 or 1998?

By the way, the official Jeremy Spencer website (www.jeremyspencer.com) has some updates... a few Indian tour dates for 2007 plus a beautiful Christmas card made by Jeremy in 1977.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for Mr Spencer.

If he'll be the winner I hope he pays for a round of Bocksbeutel ( a Franconian wine he likes to drink ... and so do I) :]

Great group. I'm torn. Being originally from Memphis, Jerry Lee still amazes me. I used to have a promo copy on Deram(I believe) of a group called
Amen Corner and I think that was Fairweather Low on vocals. He was incredible. The first British Band I ever saw live was at the end of January
1970 at the Warehouse in New Orleans. The first album I ever bought was
Runaround Sue by Dion on Laurie. I have yet to experience Chicago Bob.
Lets just say since 61, I'm still listening to Dion and he's still got the chops.
Jeremy, if he's reading this, will back me up. Thanks for the thread dansven.

Jerry Lee Lewis is announced as winner

It seems that Jerry Lee had yet annother comeback in him and was given the award in Memphis.

However it must be said that jeremy Spencer's album was very well received and it is out in many record stores. I hope sales are going well for him. I bought one and am the happier for it.
