Oh Well - the link through the years
 

Ok so I'm not saying anything that is earth-shattering here, we already know this, but it only struck me today that Oh Well is the only true thread that has run through Fleetwood Mac from Peter Green until now.

It has been sung by Peter, Bob Welch, Lindsey Buckingham, Billy Burnette and now as part of the MFBB by Rick Vito.

I can't think of any other song that has been covered by so many members of the band.

I think it is more a testament to the song itself.

this short tome has "legs"
It has been covered by many a musician to great effect

so much so that people know it but have no idea who wrote it

I know it was one of the first songs that ever stuck with me from FM when I was a record buying kid

only to discover that the copy of then play on that i first bought did not have it on it
i got another copy that did eventually

I listened to the 1994 concert on dime...Becca has a really good voice, better than the other Mac ladies. Of course it still sounds like a cover band.

Honestly, my all time favourite FM song! I hum it, tap out the drum beat on my desk at work sometimes, and as you can see below, quote the lyrics at times. :laugh:

Also Dave Walker sang it live apparently (thanks to Blue Horizon for that info in another thread!). That I would have paid to see!
