Guitar Question

I've always found one of LB's guitars very interesting. I don't know if it's his most well know axe, but it's the one that I think of him with. I'd love to hear from someone who might know - what brand is it, or is it custom made which I suspect it is. And is it acoustic (or semi) like it looks - or a solid body. I like the look and size of it. I'll attach a photo of him with it. Thanks for any help.

This is his main guitar. It's an electric, but apparantly is also capable of producing acoustic tones. It's called the Rick Turner Model 1-C-LB. More info can be found here http://www.edromanguitars.com/guitar...Model1_rtg.htm

Just for the record, Lindsey's main acoustic is the Taylor 814ce. I played one of them once. Beautiful tone, but I don't like the feel.

Go to Rick's website for more details..

Ed Roman has some good things to say but don't believe everything you read from him..

I've got a 2003 Turner Model 1 and it's a very versatile guitar with an awesome pallette of tones, build quality of them is good but the finishing is a little untidy on the ones I've played (which is 3 of the 4 guitars situated in the UK). The Taylor is a great instrument but they are a bitch to record or set up live for. The problem is they are very sharp sounding and nasally, I'd avoid them if you use a pick but they are a little better if you fingerpick as the fingers dull the shrill (I used to own a similar model and fingerpick and found it a good guitar but it can be beaten for sound)

The Model 1's generally sell for around $4-5000 and are custom made by Rick and his team in Santa Cruz. The wait time is usually about 6 months but you can get lucky if there is a slot open. Good news is Rick seems to have finalised a deal with Samick to have a Korean stripped down version made and mass produced which should retail for betreen $600 and $900 so soon they should be more readily available.

Thanks for the replies. Very interesting sites, and now I got all I could ask for about the guitar.

On Ed Roman's website you can even buy a model 1 that belonged to Lindsey. It's yours for $ 17,500  ;)
