Kate Hudson wants to play Stevie in movie

So Kate Hudson has put out an album and is out promoting it hot and heavy. I've caught several of her performances on tv and I thought to myself, "Boy she sure is auditioning to play Stevie...."

Welp, sure enough she was on Howard Stern and let it be known she would love to play Stevie in a movie: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/a_E1NjaN21E

Discuss.

She would make a good Stevie and because she Goldie Hawn's daughter, Stevie wouldn't bitch. She has also been nominated for an Oscar. I think she looks good as a rock star and I like Kate Hudson. I think she is a solid person.

Her voice - she sounds like Joan Osborn, who sang What if God Were One of Us. She has a good voice, but she needs better songs.

Any FM movie will almost certainly be cringe worthy, IMO. The "drama" has been over dramatized by the band and press for decades, it will be even more so in any film.

Stevie's camp will never sign off on anything that doesn't make her the centerpiece of the entire movie and align with Stevie's version of the story. Given how skewed her version of reality is these days, it's almost a guaranteed to be a revisionist take that will conveniently leave out anything that makes her look anything less than a victimized saint.

Can't wait for the scenes of Prince playing on Stand Back and the two hanging out for months and months, becoming the "best friends" that they were. Or that pivotal scene where Tom Petty asks her to join the Heartbreakers. :sorry::laugh::laugh:

have you seen the video of the recording engineer who was friends with Prince telling the story of how Stevie was hitting on Prince at a party, literally flinging her skirt up and displaying her wares, and Prince literally hid behind this woman to avoid Stevie....

It starts at 1:40. Stevie was flipping her dress in the air, showing off her goodies to him, and Prince asked his female engineer to dance with him, just to get away from Stevie.
I'd love to see the odometer on that thing...

Wow I hope being exposed to No Pantie Nanny's battle worn business didn't traumatize him so much that it contributed to his early demise later on.
