The B B King recording of Caldonia appears on the In London album and a MCA compliation called The Best Of B B King.
The sleeve notes for the Best album for Caldonia state: At the request of a participating artist, this is a shortened version of the master originally released. The credits as listed on Discogs show the original In London version runs 4:00, while the Best version only runs about 3:20.
The names of the participants varies a little between the two entries but there is one significant omission from the Best credits Peter Green.

Could it have been that the Peter was disatisfied with a 40 second solo he turned in and asked for it to be removed?
I don't have the In London set, just a quadraphonic mix of the Best album.
