excerpts from 'Stevie Nicks: Visions Dreams and Rumours', Zoe Howe;

...'Home' was a large mock Dutch castle way up in the Hollywood Hills, a building that radiated a sense of dark fantasy and spooky glamour. The rent was an equally glamorous $25000 per month. The Dutch castle, now used largely for movie and video shoots, was pure Hollywood let's-pretend. It was built in 1974.

It is now rather unfortunately known as 'the house that porn built', being as it is a popular location for adult movie shoots, with its grottos, waterfalls and ostentatious bedrooms. However, on a more savoury note, Stevie would shoot her video to 'Rooms on Fire' here, and the house- and Johnny Depp- would feature in Tom Petty's promo for 'Into The Great Wide Open'.
