I highly recommend these:
- Linda Ellerbee's description (in And So It Goes) of Nancy sitting under Cocoa Puffs while RR shot a commercial.
- Whoopi Goldberg's 1988 act, describing how AIDS got any funding.
- Tip O'Neal's autobiography (Man Of The House), describing how his friend Reagan would make fun of him in the press and how Reagan napped through --- well, let's just say through.
- Geraldine Ferraro's more serious autobiography, describing Mondale's frustration.
Also, who can forget Pat Schroeder calling RR The Teflon President (nothing stuck to him).
