Betsy...No, honestly, it's a fairly minor "routine" procedure..They just cut the surface skin, pop out the old Pacemaker but put in a new fully charged one. The only possible complications are infection...which is true for any procedure. The problem is mainly how bad Wendy felt while the old one was running out of gas....Super tired, short of breath etc. The whole thing is done as an outpatient, like having a biopsy or colonoscopy.Plus, we know the Doc who's doing it and we like him....he did her last one.
