Has anyone bought/listened to her new album?
It has some pretty heavy duty stuff on there! However, I am struck by how positive some of the songs are. The overall vibe of this album reminds me of Stevie in that this album was written in the depths of despair of Alanis' broken engagement with Ryan Renoylds (like Rumours was with Stevie), but Alanis finds some hopeful thread in each song so that she eventually rises above the heartache and despair. She also uses alot of great analogies in her lyrics that are cool on an intellectual level.
