Seriously, you're comparing a parent banning their child from a message board to an honour killing? Surely that's just as much as an overreaction.
God, I remember my parents being overly-cautious about certain things when I was a youngster. A few years go by and it becomes an anecdote, something you (and your parents) laugh about. Maybe Miranda's parents are as bad as people are making them out to be, maybe they are good, decent people who overreacted. At the end of the day, we don't know. And Miranda isn't even reading this so I don't even see the point in attacking them for something we don't know the ins and outs of.
