I flew to JFK with Iceland Air last year. Not the best airline when you're looking for comfort and you have a stopover in Reykjavik but it was pretty cheap. Air Lingus also flies to the States now and you have a stopover in Dublin. You probably know the websites Skyscanner.nl and Kayak.nl for cheap flights, but in case you don't, they're worth checking out. Good luck!
