For the Brunning fans, the "warning" is, I came across a redundant compilation album of De Luxe Blues Band stuff called "Blues amongst friends" though I have yet to see a mention of it anywhere of it being a redundant comp so just in case you see it billed as a "new" album or something like that somewhere... (it has stuff on it from the selftitled 1994 & 1997 DLBB CD's but not all of the tracks so you'd need to get the original CD's to have a complete collection anyways) so don't bother with this one, get the originals (and I realize the 1997 one isn't listed at the Penguin discography yet but we'll get around to adding it in there eventually, maybe when all of the SYW stuff dies down or whatever).
Anyways (and however...), the "plug" is that it says inside that CD that Brunning's book "Blues: The British connection" is again available now via
www.helterskelterbooks.com and I know it was out of print for a while and I knew a few people that wanted to get it before but couldn't as it was hard to get due to it being out of print so I thought I'd pass along the news of it's reissue here. I'll try a link to the direct page on the site for it here:
http://www.helterskelterbooks.com/pr...roduct_ID=1495
...but I don't know if it'll work or not but I hope these things are of some help/interest to someone here anyways.
