I sort of did the same thing. I went and bought Heroes first.
Chris and Welch both joining the band for Future Games had the same profound impact on the band as Buck/Nicks did IMHO. With each album forward they seemed to get more polished.
Mystery To Me, Heroes, and Bare Trees are sensational. Future Games is good but IMHO not nearly as good as those 3. They got better with every release. I wish Weston was around for Heroes because Heroes is on the edge of being just as good as Mystery To Me and I wonder if he could have pushed it over the edge.
