and not to mention he did in fact work...he had session gigs etc (recall she was in Aspen writing Landslide because he'd gotten a job on the road with the Everly Brothers) and he tried his hand (albeit unsuccessfully) at other jobs, famously he talked about working in a call center selling ads. It doesn't make as good a story. (for some reason this reminds me of her Hamburger Helper story.. which seem to fall off the radar after the early 80s)
