I look forward to the day when events like these are a distant and laughable memory.
At first Steve got a little respect for owning up to the mistake.
But then I read today where he'd posted on his Twitter account
that the teleprompter had it wrong. Not to mention misspelling
both contestants countries in that same tweet. Then hurriedly
removing that tweet after someone from the pageant said that
the names weren't on the teleprompter. To protect them from
seeing the winner before it was read.

Women are to blame for these silly shows. They force their
daughters to compete in something they wished they'd participated
in themselves. Much like men who force their sons to play sports
so they can live through them, whether they like it or not.

The moms of this world should reconsider what's really important.
And if it's worth it or not for the price their children have to pay. I'd guess
for most it's not. Competition is not bad in itself, most of us need it to drive
us to be better.

But what do I know, I'm just a dude.
