That was an unfortunately overlooked period of Peter's playing, and like you say, it's awesome.
I've always wondered how Peter could have been playing so well at that time since his illness had already manefested itself, and then have had problems playing later!
I hope the new CD is not like the Mayallesque "Time Traders". Although I am looking forward to hearing the "new" version of "Black Magic Woman", there have been quite a few versions of the same songs on different albums.
If Peter is not going to write some new blues tunes, then I would like to see some covers of either different FM songs, or blues standards like were on "Blues Don't Change" which is my favorite of their CD's. I believe this is the type of music that the fans want to hear Peter play. I know I do.
