I totally TOTALLY agree with you on that !!! And it's so weird that the example you used is Linkin Park because it's what I've been trying to convince my Linkin Park-obsessed friend for ages: that it's dark and angry songs like "I'm So Afraid" that are the
root of this "dark and heavy and alternative" Linkin Park etc etc etc etc music that we hear today.
(But he doesn't "understand how Fleetwood Mac and Linkin' Park sound the same?"..........AGGGHH!!
