Obviously, this is my favorite song of all the demos ever bootlegged. I've been listening to it for at least 13 years and it never gets old. I ALWAYS knew this song was written about Mick. "The Keeper of the Time" just made me think of Mick the first time I heard it. I really like this new rock inspired arrangement. However, I still like the slow R&B groove of the demo better. The demo always reminded me of "Tell Me Something Good" by Rufus (featuring Chaka Khan). The new version doesn't have the groovy bass line that I love, or it's not as pronounced. I STILL LIKE the new version, but I would have preferred that she stay more true to the original arrangement.
