Why didn’t Stevie get more birthday love?

Happy belated birthday, Steph!

Seems like when she got Lindsey fired, and ruined the legacy of the band, that that took a toll on her poopularity.

Among the six people left who have not fled this board.

There is more than one reason. Definitely her attitude and the 2018 events took a huge toll on the Ledgies. But besides that, as ledgie JohnL said in 2022, the constant insults towards her made some fans look for "better places to go discuss her". I don't know about those places but I realize many ledgies have stopped posting here.

Well, there used to be a board called Seven Wonders, where ONLY PRAISE of the queen was allowed...

That board went belly up at least a decade ago.

It couldn't possibly be the fact that a lot of long time fans were borderline "over it" before the events of 2018 even happened and that pretty much disenfranchised a whole bunch of her long time dedicated fans, only to be replaced by gen-z worshippers who think her current performances of Gypsy are "legendary"

People left because the Ledge changed after 2017/18. The vast majority of visitors simply left in disgust at the board, not at Stevie.

There's nothing exciting that Stevie's doing these days. No new music or creative setlist.

I agree if you mean that actually is not The Ledge what changed, but the ledgies. They may have changed for many reasons, but what I feel is that the 90s and early 2000 Ledge was exempt from the hatred or anger that is now seen on social networks.

I bet people got sick of the trolling, flaming, and repeatedly hijacked threads since Lindsey was fired. So there is little activity most of the time.

Oh, I get sick of all that shatposting around here, too. But I can’t understand why more people don’t want to wish Steph a happy 76th birthday. She is Stevie, after all, with all her warts!

Hey now. That's getting a little personal.

Too soon?
