ooh, That is one artist I like that I haven't had the chance to see live yet. (I want to see Kate Bush also, but fat chance on THAT happening).

Tori is the Kate Bush you CAN see live. She is a fantastic live performer. Way better live than she's been in the studio these past few records. What do you guys think of the Beekeeper album? Personally, I don't think she's done anything interesting since Choirgirl. She's become so soft. All "Ooh, I have a baby now! I better write her lullabies!"

I agree. I did like Scarlet's Walk much better than the Beekeeper, but I think her songwriting has definately gone down hill. "The Power of Orange Knickers"

Tori, like many other artists, is a much better writer when her life is in turmoil.

every artist has a not so hot album, and the beekeeper is it...but trust me I am sure in a couple of years she will amaze us

I disagree that the Beekeeper is Tori's "not so hot" album..The Beekeeper did amaze me, eventually. It's just one of those albums that takes a little while--but after I finally got into it, and understood it...it made sense, and I now think it's one of her best.. No it's as punchy, gutsy, or in your face as say "Boys for Pele" but it's got its own groove...Sure there are a few songs that dont do much like "the power of orange knickers" but it has some very powerful songs on it... I think the Beekeeper ranks right up there with Little Earthquakes, Choirgirl, and Boys for Pele

I agree with everything you said, Chris -- well, almost. I love "orange knickers" and I think it's just as powerful as the other songs on the album.

But, yeah, it took a while for me to get into The Beekeeper, too. Now it's one of my favorite albums.

Okay so I am listining to my new bought The Beekeeper, and i must admit its really damn good. I mean its no where near Choirgirl or Little Earthquakes, but its still good.

She still has her touch
