Holy smoke! That's the best goddamn version of The Stumble I have ever laid my ears on!!! How the hell did he set himself up for that intro? How is it possible for anyone to take possession of - and project so much energy into a space in such a brilliant, dynamic, explosive and yet contained way? It NEVER falls to the ground at any moment. Fantastic!

And he is only twenty-one at the time!!!

No wonder somebody is going bananas at the end of the clip (that person sounds a bit like Animal from The Muppets )

I wonder if this is from the John The Revalator tapes that was never released?

Thanks doodyhead, for carrying the torch!

Default From John Mayall

That was released by Mayall as part of a five CD set in europe a couple of years ago. I don't know if it was ever released in the states. One just has to wonder what Mr Mayall lost when his Laurel Canyon house burned down. He used to tape a lot of his performances. I am sure there were some priceless tapes gone up in smoke in addition to his prodigious porno collection. It is just wonderful that this escaped. It is a lot like the tape from the college of distributive arts version of "Stop Messing Round" where after a "punter"yells for "Moneymaker" he tells them what he is going to do and they didn't like it they could "F#%k Off". Peter then proceeds to tear the house down. No matter what was released as an official album, this is :The Green God in all his glory.

I believe it is, I just compared the first 30 seconds of both. Sadly there is only 1:51 of the Revelator tapes of The Stumble available. And there is so much more.
PLEASE.......
On behalf of all the fans.

And Wouter: I agree with you with regard to The Stumble. It's John The Revelator tapes to my ears to my ears too . Nothing seems to happen with those tapes. Maybe we should start a new thread about it....
