Live at the Warehouse 1-31-70
Hello everyone,
I recently received a bootleg called "The Warehouse" in New Orleans, LA. It is from 1-31-70, and it is a soundboard recording. I have never previously heard of it, and it is rather good over all. I have a few comments/questions regarding it, however. Here's the set: 1. Sandy Mary (cuts in) 2. All Over Again (a B.B. King cover--and it is AMAZING how good it is) 3. World in Harmony 4. Only You 5. Stranger Blues 6. I Can't Hold Out 7. Oh Well 8. Rattlesnake Shake (which Peter introduces as "A song about masterbating") 9. Coming Your Way 10. **I don't know the name of this song; I believe it's a cover. Jeremy sings it, and it includes the phrase "Like a Tiger" in the chorus. Any help, anyone??** 11. Twist and Shout Anyone have any trivia or information about this show? Also, if anyone is interested in getting a copy, I would be willing to do some trades; I'm not sure if this one is in general circulation or not. Thanks for your help, Adam |

They opened for The Grateful Dead at these shows...and afterwards were spared getting busted in the story the Dead tells in their song "Truckin'".

Yes, it is pretty much in general circulation.

Thanks for the help, Steve! Glad you were able to put this show into perspective for me. I've only just started collecting bootlegs of the original Fleetwood Mac, so I'm not really familiar with them yet.

As a matter of fact, Sandy Mary is probably from the january 30 1970 venue of which the track listing is as follows:
1. Before the beginning 2. It takes time 3. Like it this way 4. Only you 5. Madison blues 6. I can't stop loving 7. Albatross 8. The green manalishi 9. World in harmony 10. Stranger blues 11. Sandy Mary BTW if you like All over again (aka I've got a mind to give up living) there is a real awesome version on the january 4 1970 show at the Filmore West in San Fransisco, much (and I mean much) better than the Qarehouse. Superb solo by Peter. |

There have been those that have claimed that is Peter's best solo ever anywhere.

Greeny's best solo

In 1997, I discussed this song on the (I think) Peter Green Website (which doesn't exist anymore). I remember someone agreed with me... GJK |

I second that! I'd love to get my hands on some more Peter Green era shows, especially if the ones you guys are talking about are BETTER than the one I just got! Thanks! Adam |

No more Views for Greeny
Quote:
I think the site 'Views For Greeny' doesn't exist anymore... The great version of "I've got a (good) mind to give up living", a.k.a. "All over again" (written by Carl B. Adams, ofter performed by B.B. King) is on "The Original Fleetwood Mac Blues Band" (January 4, 1970 at the Fillmore West). Eagle Records EA - R 90601. GJK |
