Default Personal Holy Grail

If you could have one single item from these Fleetwood Mac years, what would it be?

I myself would want a live performance of "The Derelict" with Mick Fleetwood on drums, John McVie on bass, Christine McVie on keys & backup vox, Bob Weston on guitar, Bob Welch on guitar & backup vox, & Dave Walker on lead vox.

That would be the greatest thing in the world for me.

Well, I am still searching for it. By the way, were you being naughty when you left the Grail sign on again

For me, it would have been to see Fleetwood Mac live one time before Peter left the band. If for no other reason than too see "Harold"

If I had a wish I would have liked to have been around to see Peter in his prime.

Specifically I'd have loved to have seen the legendary 25 minute version of Rattlesnake Shake in Boston from the front row.

Do you even know if they ever PERFORMED "The Derelict" in concert? I don't.

Actually, yours is pretty close to mine...I'd just like a complete show recording from the Penguin crew...followed closely by a complete show from the Mystery To Me folks.

My other dream/holy grail is to be in a band with you once again & to play "The Derelict" in G major with you on lead guitar & vox & "Angel" in E major with you once again on lead guitar & vox & to play long extended jammy versions of those songs, with my little fan blowing in my face & lots of wind & breeze in the studio or on the (outdoor) stage, with a kick-ass percussionist playing conga drums.

But of course that will never happen because you won't do it. You decided a long time ago that Oberman shall never again be in your band, & so Oberman slinked off into the Night of Forgottenness & Ignominy. And thus my "Derelict" & "Angel" dream & holy grail will never be found.

I for one would love to see and hear the entire album of Kiln House played live at a venue the size of my living room. I want Christine there playing the keys. Her album artwork available as a free souvenir.

Ummm... ...when the hell did I ever give you the impression that I'd never be a band with you?

Saddle the horses! Let's ride!

The Holy Grail for me would be to stop at a garage sale and find the Munich "acid tape" that Peter did in March 1970 in the basement of that commune.

There are a few things I'd love to have from this period:

A recording of a complete live show from the 1973 Mystery To Me tour & a video of their 1971 BBC performance(the one with "Show Me A Smile").

I also like Richard B's post. That would be very cool!

Yours too!

I have a big love for Kiln House. It's quirky. I want Mission Bell played at my wedding (if I ever marry). Maybe my funeral then. LOL.

In the latter case, make sure you specify to your heirs that you want the Fleetwood Mac version...not the original Donnie Brooks version.

I wonder if a copy still exists?
