Mystery To Me..(MISPRINT)
Ok...So thanks to John..I've discovered that I most likely have an orignal pressing of MTM ....The actual lp case (NOT INNER SLEEVE) has the misprint of Good Things Come To those Who Wait instead of For Your Love which is what ended up on the album...Anyone else have this??....Is it worth anything?...Not that I'm gonna sell it anyway...Thanks ...Adam

You got one of the first 10,000 pressings. I don't know if it's worth anything. Other than bragging rights at Fleetwood Mac message boards. Which sometimes is worth more than $$$.

About 10 years ago, I inquired...it was worth about $15...about the same price as a new LP. Not worth selling...at least, to me.
I've found that so called "collector" LP's haven't really increased in price all that much...in fact, in a couple of cases, if I'd turned around and sold 'em within a couple of months of buying them (new), I would've made more money than I would now after hanging on to them for 30+ years. It's a fickle market. So...besides Adam & me, who else has a copy of "MTM" that lists "Good Things" instead of "For Your Love"??? |

I don't, but I only told Adam that it might be worth something due to the fact that in the 80's I noticed the "going rate" for that "version" of the album was then about $40 in a Goldmine record price guide book. I must have either misread it (which is VERY possible!) or stuff like that has declined in value which I wouldn't doubt in the vinyl market these days. Sorry for the mixup Adam.

I'm a little confused here. My jacket cover does not have the misprint, but the lyric sheet inside does have "Good Things". Do all lyric sheets have this misprint? I have the original issue LP & the reissue LP from 1977 and both lyric sheets from both LPs have the misprint. And is there a song that exists call "Good Things Come To Those Who Wait?

They never changed the lyric insert...only the cover. (so they wouldn't have to hassle with getting permission to print the "For Your Love" lyrics).
"Good Things Come To Those Who Wait" eventually surfaced when Bob Welch re-recorded it for his solo album "Three Hearts" retitled as "Don't Wait Too Long". According to Bob in his Q&A, other than a couple of lyric changes, the song pretty much stayed the same as Fleetwood Mac's version. |

Thanks ChiliD for the info. I always wondered what that was about. I still wish that I had one of those 10,000 with the misprint on the cover, though.
