Jeremy Spencer 1/2010 Detroit, MI

I've heard many versions of "It Hurts Me Too" in my lifetime, Jeremy's performance in a local Detroit club is the best. I found this video by accident. I was looking after a band named The Muggs, who have been playing Detroit, and surrounding states/counties for almost twenty years. I first discovered The Muggs on a FOX show that tried to apply "American Idol" to rock bands three years ago. I watched the first night of this show, and was about to change the channel when I heard The Muggs. It was a three piece band with a lead singer/guitarist, drummer, and keyboard player. This band played a song that was The James Gang circa 1969. I voted for them every week, yet the lack of a true lead singer lead to their demise on the show. If I remember the keyboard player used to play bass, but he almost died from a life threatening condition. Yet the heart, and compassion the remaining two members of the band had for this person allowed him to come back to play keyboard ala John Paul Jones/Ray Manzerek (bass pedals). I later found out that the guitarist/(only singer) was also in a Peter Green Fleetwood Mac cover-band named "The Rattlesnake Shake". The guitarist was one of the few enlightened ones keeping the flame alive during the early 90's. Last edited by slipkid; 07-02-2010 at 11:35 PM.. |
