Default Bob Seger

Has anyone seen him on his tour this year? He is coming to Oakland Arena and I'm 90% sure I'm going. Tickets are only $65 and he is on my list of people I've never seen but wanted to. Just wondering if anyone has info on this tour and if he sounds good, etc.

I didn't even know he was touring. The last time I saw him was almost thirty years ago.

Yeah, when he sold "Like A Rock", to Chevy.

On the bright side, hopefully Rick got royalties, everytime that slide guitar hit the airwaves.

Ho****. I just heard about this on the radio a few days back. I really want to go. When is it? I guess I could check. I was thinking of winning tickets for it...
Do you have a "date" for the show?
I love Sege. I don't know how he sounds now, though, isn't his voice pretty thrashed? I mean, it started out thrashed....

Wow, that's a good set. Too bad he doesn't open with Nutbush City Limits anymore. His version was kick ass.

Which came first, this or The Eagles' "The Long Run"?

They're pretty much the same song with different lyrics.

Cool Thought about seeing...

Bob Seger for a second time (Saw him in 1986 in support of the "Like a Rock" album w/future FM guitarist Rick Vito as his lead guitar player), but the OKC was cancelled due to "contractural conflicts"...So much for that.

That sucks...how bout Rod he'll be playing Ford Center in April...
Even though I'm hearing his first two shows of the Rockin' In the Round 2007 Tour were terrible! He better shape up when he hits the Garden(which Bob will be playing in two weeks)

I saw him in Knoxville, TN a couple of months ago. The setlist has everything that you would want to hear, and he still sounds just like he always has. The band is really tight too! If you sit in the lower level, try to get on the sides by the stage. He has small platforms on each side of the stage, so it is like having front row. I had seats in the section by the stage on the fourth row, and I was SUPER close when he came over to the platform on my side (which he did quite often). Just something to think about. Enjoy the concert! I know I did.
