![]() We've all seen this already and most of us own it on DVD, but it makes me happy when I am flipping channels and run across someone playing a Mac something, so... VH1 Classic has the Boston Soundstage going right now, and will be replaying it at 8:30 AM.
Not exactly a prime-time viewing time slot, but at least it's there, lol.

![]() Yeah, just caught that tonight. I admit, it was a nice surprise and it definately came at a good time as I've been snowed in all day and night (NY)and was deciding how I was going to entertain myself the rest of the night...
I've only seen a few clips here and there online. It wasn't bad if you can forget about Chris not being there, Stevie's lack of fashion that year, and the bevy of "backup" musicians onstage. I have to admit, though, several songs in and I was missing the old Mac and, if it weren't for the fact that I was recording it, I would've thrown in the Tusk Doc or Largo 79 show. The good "old days"! Nonetheless, I thought it was a solid performance. Actually, I was more than delighted! Glad I finally caught it. Not sure how much post-production was involved but I definately heard some guitar overdubs during GYOW. I thought Say Goodbye was really nice. Beautiful Child too... |

![]() Yeah, I saw this on TV a couple days ago. I watched Rhiannon & Come then stopped since I've watched that DVD over ten times. First time watching it on the 57'' with 5.1 surround sound, though :P.

![]() Right before it aired they were showing the 10 greatest female singers countdown. Stevie was number 5. They played "Landslide" from the Dance.

![]() I watched it too (though I own the dvd). They're so cute. I love the pantomime during "Tusk".

![]() Thanks for the heads-up on the Tuesday airing, 1sttimelongtime. I haven't seen this either. I've been wanting to get the Boston DVD, but can't find it anywhere. Seeing it on TV will at least tide me over until I can get it.
Is it the full show, or has VH-1 edited it in any way? I agree on the Dance DVD, it is indeed perfection. |

Or you can get it on eBay. Amazon should also have it. From what I saw, it was edited for TV - they didn't show the encores. I don't know if they cut anything out in the middle, though, because I came in halfway through.

![]() I caught some of it, which was cool because I'm visiting relatives in KY and don't have any DVDs. It was a long showing- seems like 2 1/2 hours maybe?- but I guess they had to cut some songs for commercials- they cut Dreams, I think Second Hand News, and others...
I haven't watched it in a while. I really liked it when it first came out but just don't think it compares to the Dance. With Stevie being a bit more "Stevie" these last few years, it was weird seeing her in the cardigan and Frankenbocks, and her voice was a bit less than smooth that night. Nontheless, the concert overall is great. Me and my mom loved rocking out to Rhiannon from the CD, and the extra long GYOW is great. As for the Reno show, I can attest that its great! Its one of the few shows I had recorded on to CDs and thought overall the performance was better than Boston. I remember particularly liking GDW and GB.
