Peter Green & Friends were back in the West Country for the third time within 9 months and I'm beginning to feel spoilt!

I thought the Moles club event was something special (which it was) but to me the performance at the Cheese & Grain takes some beating.

This is a much bigger venue which was packed out with a very appreciative audience who gave a very warm welcome.

BMW these days is much more like the Santana version than the F Mac one. I think I actually prefer this one to the original

I was thrilled to see/hear A Rainy Night In Georgia. IMO it's one of the most beautiful songs ever, and one of my fave fave fave fave songs from my way-back-when days. The version I remember is Brook Benton's, and I listened to that thing over and over and over.

Has this song been part of Peter's shows prior to this? As his voice ages, it becomes the perfect vehicle for songs like this. And of course the guitar tone is, as someone else said, sublime. I could listen to this clip all day (and I probably will...)

Really a reply to your first post on this thread: Yes all these videos speak for themselves. They are really good. The film is well taken, and the sound is good. Thank you for that. PG and Band is in great form - and they have taken away PG's lyrics sheet away from him and he is doing well without it.

Thanks for the explanation. I didn't know about the name cod-roe, even though I have eaten my way through heaps of fish and chips having lived in England for four years.
