Just curious if any listeners of the Dead (like myself ) new that the song Passenger from 1977's Terrapin Station :http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...music&n=507846 , written by bassist Phil Lesh, was based around Station Man. Just thought that would be an interesting read (I read it in the liner notes of my Dead Box Set)

Also, Terrapin Station was produced by Keith Olsen

I knew about it being produced by Keith Olsen, but the "Station Man" thing is new. What was weird is the first time I heard "Estimated Prophet" was on the radio, and for some reason, it reminded me of "Hypnotized."

But, what I find odd is that we know of Keith Olsen's involvement with Fleetwood Mac. However, he produced the Whitesnake album (Here I Go Again/Is This Love) that featured Aynsely Dunbar on drums.

In 1970 that vortex met in New Orleans. It was pretty neat!

I'm eventually going to get Dick's Picks 29, which has got 6 discs, one show from Georgia, and one from Florida, and it's got Passenger on it . Dosen't seem like they could do much with it, jam wise

An album filler song in my humble opinion...Estmated Prophet and terrapin station are the best from that album.
