Default "Single" question

"Heavy Heart"/"No Way Out"
"Beasts of Burden"/Uganda Woman"

Are these four songs from Greeny's first two singles availible on any CD's? Maybe on a compilation CD, or as bonus tracks? I'd like to hear them, but the last time they popped up on ebay they sold for quite a bit.

Hello Tom,
they're not available officially except for old singles copies.

They are available on bootlegs though, so maybe you can trade for the tracks?

It's a great shame that they're not available commercially. Should be reissued along
with an exapanded verion of "The end of the game". But they how many times have we said that...

Absolutely - they'd fit in well with The End Of The Game, which is a bit short anyway. Heavy Heart is the cheaper single generally, and the more common. In France it even got a picture sleeve Beasts of Burden is a bit rarer and often comes as a promo.

File under "Most Likely Redundant, But Just In Case You Didn't Know":

The PGSG covered the Nigel Watson penned tune, "Uganda Woman", on their Time Traders album.

On a similar theme:

Big Boy Now / Bandit

How rare is this single? Does anyone know in which countries it was released, or anything else about it? I have a German promo 45 but I've never seen any other copy anywhere

Both songs are on the double CD "Man of The World" Peter Green Anthology.

Redundant? Not to me. I'm still a new-ish Greeny fan. So while your info may be common knowledge to some, I appreciate you posting it.

Default "Big Boy Now"

I haven't been in the loop for a very long time, and just popped in to have a look around. I'm not even sure if I am handling this response correctly, but someone in the thread indicated they were intersted in a copy of the Picture Sleeve. I have two (both very nice condition) and could possibly be romanced into a trade, but only for very specific items. Cheers, Don

Daniel, I remember Don Brown from those days too, and he's one of the most knowledgeable people around when it comes to Peter Green & Fleetwood Mac recordings. And I owe him a big thank-you for helping to get me started trading Fleetwood Mac live shows, back in those "Views For Greeny" days. Don, hope to see you join in the discussions here - it would be great to have your input on the Ledge boards.
