![]() I don't think there's a more recognizable drumbeat in rock music...except maybe for the intro to The Ventures' "Walk Don't Run"...than Mick's in "Hypnotized".
Just fits the song...it's hypnotic.

![]() This is the most difficult poll you've conducted since both songs are the best songs on their respective records.
I chose Hypnotized, largely because of Christine's amazing backing vocals, but in truth it depends on my mood. I have listened to the original recording of Future Games so many times and can't believe something this rich and satisfying went unnoticed by the masses. It is, in every way, an amazing musical experience. |

![]() wow... you make things impossible....
I love both.... they are vastly different pieces of music.... Welch really challenged his english bandmates with his songwriting.... not sure they may have appreciated how good they were instrumentally on some of his stuff...

![]() Hypnotized
But MacDougall votes for Future Games. But Welch's best song with Fleetwood Mac was Angel. It's perfect for undulating like a hippie cobra flower child, out on the hillside grass under a Summer of Love sun. I do that a lot.

But, "Hypnotized" is more fun to play...for no other reason than to mess with the drummer for not playing that 12/8 part correctly.

![]() No, I'm not voting on this one. I'd hate myself for voting against either one.

![]() Difficult choice. I'm voting for a song I love love love against another song I love love love.
But I have to go with "Hypnotized" for reasons mentioned above, the drumming, the instrumentation, the backup singing, the general "feel" created by the song. It is so atmospheric it's just incredible. All of this is true for "Future Games" too, but I'm giving "Hypnotized" the edge because I think the vocals are done better. "Future Games"'s vocals are a wee too layered for my taste. Bob was certainly the master of the atmospheric song when he was with the Mac.

![]() Both songs are great, but I have to go with Hypnotized because, well, that's what it does to me when I listen to it.
