Oh yeah...that one. The one who showed up, and helped Fleetwood Mac sell kazillions of albums in the 70's and 80's. I know everyone mentions Peter Green this, or Peter Green that...but I gotta admit something...
Green isn't a big influence on me personally. Buckingham is. He was the first guitar player I heard with Fleetwood Mac. As far as his guitar work...stellar! Seriously....it's an example of serving songs with the instrument. I've been listening to his guitar work incessantly this week. Right in the pocket...good stuff... I'm not much into blues, or Peter Green myself. I rather like Lindsey's style of playing better. Although Peter Green is an outstanding guitarist in his own right, it's like comparing apples and oranges.
Just depends upon what you like. |
