Fantastic interview and there were some nuggets in there that I never knew about specifically about Oh Diane and the tracks that were cut as The Cholos. I hope those are still around somewhere and they eventually see the light of day.

I'm glad that he has the attitude that he does about his solo career as well as his time in Fleetwood Mac. A lot of people would be bitter and resent that a lot crap is talked about that period of the band but he seems to know his "place" in Fleetwood Mac's lore.

Great deeper dive into the Billy Burnette years. He does have the right attitude and takes the higher road as he should. It would be nice to get a Behind the Mask box set.

Yes, that was something. So little words in that song. I wonder if it was "Love is Like a Grain of Sand."

In his book Crazy Like Me (available on Amazon end of plug LOL) Billy writes: We were really good friends, and Lindsey and I would go to his house and write. He wanted me to write some lyrics for “Oh Diane.” I wrote them and he said they didn’t work for him, but then he ended up using a few of them anyway. That’s when I said, “Whatever.”

But Richard Dashut got co-writing for Oh Diane. I wonder what words Billy wrote. Again hardly any words in the song. Maybe Billy wrote the chorus.
