I was on Rockline with Lindsey Buckingham!!!
OH YEAH!!!!
I yes I was on air with Mr. Lindsey Buckingham! I didn't even plan to call, but a few minutes before the show I decided to give it a try. I thought about coming to the Ledge to get some ideas for questions, but didn't have time. So I wrote on a little note pad two questions, what I said is as follows (forgive me for being a goof ): Lindsey thanks for all the great music. I saw you in Mobile Alabama on your last tour, and you really rocked the place that night. It was one of the loudest concerts I've ever been to. 1. Could you describe what you are thinking or feeling while playing a guitar solo in front of a crowd? 2. What is your favorite song from the new album, and why? Shew....... I was nervous. It's kind of unreal to me that I talked with L.B. |

His response to my questions were:
Nice to hear from you. Well let's see um....What am I thinking and feeling while playing a guitar solo...ah...I think you are really on automatic, you're kind of in a trance, a lot of the time you don't really have much of anything going through your mind...ah....every once in awhile I'm thinking...gee where am I going to go next?...up the neck or whatever, but beyond that I think your just kind of ah... in some sort of a state of ah..almost a sub-conscious kind of a thing going on where you're not really thinking too much about anything. um...my favorite song on the new album, well that's kind of hard, ah... there are a couple I think for different reasons, "Great Day", I like a lot because my son ah.... was walking around the studio one day singing "Great Day, Great Day" and I said what is that?, he said I don't know. My son is only ten and so I basically took that and used it for the chorus of that song...and so he co-wrote that with me. And also as I already mentioned.. my wife co-wrote the lyrics to "Love Runs Deeper", and so those two songs represent a nice combination of whats going on in my life...which is the creative side and also the family side. |

That's really sweet. I'd like to know what lyrics she wrote but guess that's a mystery.

Thanks for typing out his answer "iamnotafraid" (...and for not being afraid to call in and ask a question )
His answers to the questions were refreshing, which probably means that the questions were refreshing. That is cool that you made it on, and now you have something personal (perhaps even a recording) to cherish forever. |

I was NERVOUS!!!! And you're right, I'll remember that forever. Never would have thought after being a fan since about 1983, that I'd have a chance to talk to him. |
