I really am the only one who would add The Derelict in here aren't I?
I'm not a fan of the Danny & Christine stuff from this period, but Bob Welch did some fantastic stuff, he could almost have his own compilation. |

What about "Show Me A Smile"? That was the tectonic plate shift song that changed FM into an American pop band.

Yes, I think so!

I'm a Dave Walker fan though, so my view of this song is probably distorted by that... |

See, I'd try to make it a 2 CD set. I don't know what I'd put on it at this point.
I'd really love to have a video compilation from this era.

Miles Away Why Bright Fire Morning Rain Sands of Time Night Watch There's others but I'm only going by what's on my iPod.

A 2cd set would allow you to put nearly ALL the tracks from that era on it. It's only 5 albums between Future Games and Heroes. So wouldn't really be a best of compilation, would it???

I've noticed that oddity about fans of the pre-1975 Macs: You ask them to name their favorites, & they rattle off every last track the band recorded in that era.

Mac fans are crazy people. Myself included.

What, you wouldn't want a few choice live cuts?

I guess you could have a few live tracks but then you'd be duplicating studio tracks on the same compilation.
Are there that many live professionally recorded concerts from the 1971-1974 era?? |

I sing it & play it on the piano all the time. It's even on my MP3 player at the gym -- it's perfect rhythmically for leg extensions.
I posted its chords on the Ledge about five years ago.

As a song, I find it very satisfying. It just seems entirely out of place on Penguin--or any Mac record.
