Better DVD
Hey,
Which concert video is better for a new fan, Soundstage or Bass Performance Hall? Thanks for any input! |

in my opinion, i would go with Soundstage because it does include many Mac songs (I'm assuming you're talking about just LB's Soundstage) and Stevie does make an appearance! It's a downright fantastic video and i love watching it! Welcome to LB fandom!!!

bass performance hall is the better show.

I prefer the SoundStage DVD. The only thing that would've made it better was if he'd done "So Afraid"... but Murrow was pretty close to it.

They are both great, but I think Soundstage is a little better. (I should have added that I meant for concert footage. Bass Hall does have more in terms of extras)

Soundstage - easily. I'm in the minority I'm sure, in that I don't like the Bass Hall DVD. I just think it lacks passion, which is unbelievable for a Lindsey concert. I've seen bootleg videos from that tour, and they're fantastic! But Bass hall just falls kinda flat for me. Soundstage is great. The music is great. Lindsey's in a great mood. He looks GREAT. It's worth it for Trouble and Red Rover alone IMO, but the whole thing is absolutely wonderful : )

For the concert footage, I'd say Soundstage, but I'm a sucker for the non-concert stuff, even if some of it was rather staged. I liked looking it and really appreciate having it in my collection. I think it's more rare than live performances, so if I'd have to choose, I'd go with Bass Hall for that reason. Michele

You have to have both!
The bonus songs on Soundstage alone make it a must-have ("Steal Your Heart Away" is amazing!), plus it has "Red Rover" live, which for some reason (maybe because the universe hates me!) was not included on Bass Hall. But Bass Hall has many cool things that Soundstage does not, including a live version of "Holiday Road". I can't imagine not having both shows! |

Do you have the mp3 of Steal Your Heart Away from Soundstage? It's my favorite LB song, and I don't have the SS DVD but I do have the mp3s, and never knew he did that one. Anyone have the complete setlist from that night?

Anyway, here's what's on the dvd; I'm not sure what else may have been performed that night, but I think you might find an old thread with more info if you do a search. Someone's Gotta Change Your Mind Trouble Big Love Go Insane Down On The Rodeo Peacekeeper Red Rover Never Going Back Again (w/Stevie Nicks) Say Goodbye (w/Stevie Nicks) Murrow Turning Over in his Grave Go Your Own Way Steal Your Heart Away I Am Waiting |

Thanks for the setlist. I forget where I found the mp3s to this show before, but they didn't have SYHA or I Am Waiting.
Don't want to break any rules of course. I thought they could be shared because, as far as I know, you can't just buy the songs anywhere. Only the DVD. |
