Rumours, Truth & Inuendo
Rumours, Truth & Innuendo: The History Of Fleetwood Mac is currently being aired on Gold 104.3, which is now the best station ever! Hopefully (I guess) it's been on for only half an hour - otherwise I've missed a heap!
They just mentioned the live album, and just played "The Farmer's Daughter", and are currently talking about the members' solo projects. "Dreams", "You Make Loving Fun", "Don't Stop", "Tusk", and "Sara" were also on before, and presumably songs from the white album. For some reason "Mystified" was playing in the background while Lindsey was talking about the Tusk album. Now "Hold Me" has just come on. They've also had (previously recorded... I assume) interviews with Stevie and Christine at different times throughout. Oh no! "Oh Diane" is on in the background! (According to the radio host it was "...strangely only a hit in the UK." ) That's better - "Gypsy" is on now. (Forgive the stream of consciousness style of this post! ) What's this about Lindsey playing with Bob Welsh and Billy Thorpe? I never knew of this! Stevie's now talking about how she felt guilty that she didn't leave the band, how she attacked Lindsey when he wanted to leave the band, and how he threw her against a car. Clips of "Big Love" and "Everywhere" were just played. And now here's "Little Lies"! I can hear some songs I haven't heard before in the background now... perhaps from Behind The Mask? Apparently this has been played before - the host just said Fleetwood Mac would be coming to Australia for the Unleashed tour in December. Stevie's talking about how she misses Christine with John Peters, the radio host... it seems all the interviews played tonight were done with him. Ooh, "Seven Wonders" is on now. Stevie's talking about how they enjoyed going through their body of work and playing it in this tour. Of course "Seven Wonders" wasn't actually done on the Unleashed tour, so this seems a bit misplaced... Fleetwood Mac is "...a story worthy of Shakespeare". Oh, here's "Peacekeeper"... well, perhaps I'll warm to it... "This is John Peters, and I hope you've enjoyed listening to Fleetwood Mac: Rumours, Truth & Innuendo." Thanks John!

I actually like this song too, but I can't help but feel that this song is guilty pleasure at its guiltiest! I'm always embarrassed and self-conscious whenever someone other than I is listening (assuming others were listening to this on the radio), because unlike most music where I can justify my liking for it (and ridicule those who challenge my tastes), this I can't. I don't think anyone really can. But I won't stop anyone from trying!
