The Wall is, for me...good......not my fav Floyd album by any stretch. It's a double hence the problem. Lots of filler.....but I still like it. If I'm in the mood.

Which one is? For me I'd infer that Wish You Were Here is, because "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" is my equal favourite song ever (the other being "Wild West Hero" by ELO), let alone the other material on there like the title track.

Ok I'm weird.......I like the album MOST fans shun.....The Final Cut. I'm a Roger Waters fan, and this is by far my Fav. It was the fallow up to the Wall. Yo me it is much moe concise then the Wall. The title track is one of my fav tunes ever So i'm an odd fan.

(I don't see The Final Cut Here! Interestingly, however, it was A Collection Of Great Dance Songs, a compilation Roger Waters hated, that got me into Pink Floyd! )

If I get the money! I just spent $32 on Tea For The Tillerman (2008 Deluxe) by Cat Stevens today - an amount I've never paid for an album before, and an amount I don't intend to pay again anytime soon, for I be a broke uni student. (It was still worth it though! )

A few nights ago I listened to all five studio albums by The Police. What an excellent band!

The Wall is pretty good but you need to be in the right mood for it! A lot of filler like Mick said. My favourites are Dark Side of the Moon and The Division Bell... consistent albums mmm

Also pro-tip: NEVER watch the The Wall movie

Anyway... listening to Pavlov's Dog - Theme From Subway Sue

If you mean the complete album in one session, no.
If it were the old days of vinyl, I would say side three.
I was playing guitar to it, so that's why I picked those
songs (2nd CD).

You've only heard Dark Side Of The Moon??? You must
buy these:

1. The Wall
2. Wish You Were Here
3. The Final Cut
4. Dark Side Of The Moon (if you don't already have it).

The only one I don't care for during the Roger Waters' years is
Animals. Speaking of Waters, as much as I like Gilmour
Pink Floyd is boring without Roger.

BTW, I didn't hear THE WALL until I saw the movie. That was one
wild ride. One of my friends was a big Pink Floyd fan and talked me
into going to see it. So good or bad, that started my appreciation
for Pink Floyd.

Top Three Music Shockers:

1. Elvis' Heartbreak Hotel (I wasn't around when this was released).
2. Fleetwood Mac Tusk.
3. Pink Floyd The Wall.

I can think of no other music that was so different for their time.
Think about what was on the charts when Elvis came out with
Heartbreak Hotel. Nothing before or since has changed the
music world as much as that song (and it's not my favorite of
his by far). It was and is something totally different. And in a
smaller way so was Tusk and The Wall. It's funny they came out
so close to each other in 1979. And double albums no less.

For a little trivia, what album knocked off Dark Side Of The Moon
from it's number one pearch on the Billboard chart??? Give up???
It was..............Elvis Presley: Aloha From Hawaii.

I think I'll just buy the box set Shine On when I can.
Yeah, I own Dark Side Of The Moon. It was only $10 when I bought it (of course, having heard it, I'd gladly pay more). I was listening to it last night going to sleep actually...
Well, I wouldn't know about a boring Pink Floyd! If "Learning To Fly" is anything to go by, they did surprisingly well without him, if only briefly.
Well, I got into Pink Floyd because of A Collection Of Great Dance Songs (which Roger Waters hated), so that is surely worse than because of the movie The Wall!
Hmm... no Beatles in your top three there... where would you rank some of their albums in terms of shock? (Btw my birthday, and thus The Beatles Stereo Box Set, approaches, meaning we can soon decide once and for all just who the best band is! )
Have you heard any Alan Parsons Project albums? They're pretty out there! (And who'd be surprised, considering Alan Parsons was the Engineer for TDSOTM?) Especially Tales Of Mystery And Imagination and I, Robot!
